Types and categories of Visa
Before applying for a visa, it is recommended that you understand the type and category of visa that best suits your purpose of travel.
96 hours Transit visa - single entry (Dubai only)
This is a single entry visa valid for Dubai only. The visitor may stay for a maximum period of 96 hours from the date and time of entry into Dubai. The visa is valid for 30 days.
Visa processing time: 3 to 4 working days.
Note
- Applicant must declare profession at the time of visa application.
- Passport must valid for six months from the date of travel.
- This visa is not valid for entry through Abu Dhabi.
- Visa valid for onward journeys only and not return point-to-point tickets.
- Valid GCC Residency Permit holders may apply for visa on arrival.
- ECR or low profile passports will NOT be processed.
- Black/white scanned passport copy will NOT be processed.
- Handwritten passport will NOT be processed.
14 days Service visa - single entry
This visa permits stay upto a maximum period of 14 days from the date of entry into UAE. The maximum validity of the visa is 14 days from the date of issue. This visa is suitable for passengers who require special passes to some organizations/areas in UAE or are visiting for meetings/conferences/events.
30 days short term Tourist visa - single entry
This visa permits stay upto a maximum period of 30 days from the date of entry into Dubai. The maximum validity of the visa is 59 days from the date of issue. This visa is suitable for tourists whose travel dates are flexible but within the validity period of 59 days.
30 days short term Tourist visa - multiple entry
This visa permits stay upto a maximum period of 30 days from the date of entry into Dubai. The maximum validity of the visa is 59 days from the date of issue. This visa is suitable for tourists whose travel dates are flexible and need to re-visit Dubai within the 30 day period from the first date of entry into Dubai and within the overall 59 day visa validity period.
90 days long term Tourist visa - single entry
This visa is applicable to all visitors tourist or business and permits stay for a maximum period of 90 days. The visa is valid for 59 days from the date of issue. The traveler must enter Dubai within the 59 day validity period and is suitable for visitors who wish to remain for medium duration.
90 days long term Tourist visa - multiple entry
This visa is applicable to all visitors tourist or business and permits stay for a maximum period of 90 days. The traveler may exit and renter Dubai multiple times but within the 90 day period from the first date of entry into Dubai. The visa is valid for 59 days from the date of issue. The traveler must enter Dubai within the 59 day validity period and is suitable for visitors who wish to remain for medium duration but require multiple entry into Dubai.
